Christian Duffy, Key Account Executive and Business Development Lead at Umanitek

Zurich, Switzerland, October 2026 — Umanitek AG, a data and AI trust infrastructure company, with a suite of products and services centred around deepfake detection and digital identity protection, today announced the appointment of Christian Duffy as Key Account Executive and Business Development Lead, based in Los Angeles, USA.

Duffy joins Umanitek from the Skechers Athlete Partnerships and Sports Marketing team. Before that he spent nearly four years as Senior Director of Talent at VIDSIG.

In his new role, Duffy will lead Umanitek's work with athletes, entertainers, creators and organisations with significant public profile, media reach or cultural influence.

Duffy will work closely with Umanitek's key executive team to develop the company, while overseeing Umanitek's white-glove "digital bodyguard" services for high-profile clients and enterprises.

"High-profile people face the most dangerous risks from deepfakes and impersonation attempts, and they expect a partner who understands their world," said Chris Rynning, Chairman of Umanitek.

"Christian has spent his career inside talent and athlete relationships at the highest level. He knows how these clients and their teams work, and he will make sure they get the full digital protection and attention they need from Umanitek," said Jon Lutzky, Chief Operating Officer of Umanitek.

Duffy brings experience across talent management, athlete partnerships, sports marketing and client relationships. Most recently, at Skechers, he worked across the brand's basketball, soccer, skate and baseball programs. He supported athlete and partner relationships, events and product launches for Skechers Performance during a period when Skechers announced it had become the No. 2 brand in the U.S. market by total units sold.

From 2020 to 2024, Duffy was Senior Director of Talent at VIDSIG, where he managed talent relationships for the company. Earlier in his career he held roles in marketing at the Pac-12 Conference and in client management at Silicon Valley Bank.

"Your name, face and voice are among the most valuable things you own, and today they can be copied in seconds," said Duffy. "I've spent my career helping athletes and talent build and protect their brands. Umanitek gives them a way to take control of their identity online, and I'm excited to bring that protection to the people and organisations that need it the most."
